The main additional is that of a 3-setting grill, meaning it browns, toasts and crisps like an ordinary grill - so toast, sausages and bacon can all easily be cooked in this clever device.

Retailing at just a few pounds extra, the Panasonic NN-A554W Digital Combi Grill Microwave is a slight step up from the NN-GD566M as it cooks at up to 1000W, but is actually slightly smaller and more slimline - ideal for those for whom space is at a premium. As well as the additional grilling option, there are also oven features - it is even possible to cook a medium-sized chicken little over half an hour. This model offers excellent quality for just a little extra money.
